The quality of service is second to none I have experienced, the food is Michelin star quality and the rooms and decor is impressive. The owners have done an amazing job at operating this resort. "It was a nice hotel for a taste of local culture. Although the place is dated, everything was clean. The check in/check out woman was very helpful and contacted a taxi for us anytime we needed one. It is close to shopping and restaurants. The downside is that you are not allowed early check in - we got in 5 minutes early but I wouldn't plan on that. We were allowed to use the pool while waiting and of course, the bar and restaurant right next to the pool. We stayed here at the beginning of our sailing trip and the end and that's the soonest we got our room. Because of luggage, we were limited on other options."
