Convenient location

Close to historical and religious sites, including the Cathedral, the Commandery, Whitefriars, and Guildhall, all of which can be visited. Close, for walking, to the Royal Fort park, the Worcester-Birmingham Canal, where you can see barges going through locks, and the River Severn, with its famous swans and river trips. For lovers of cricket, it is not far to the Worcester Cricket Club and Ground. The King's School and Edgar Tower are not far and the Royal Worcester Porcelain Museum is a couple of minutes walk away. Strongly recommended for those, without a car, who wish to explore this part of Worcester. Also a minute's walk away from the city centre.

An unexpected pleasure

I loved my stay at Ye Olde Talbot Hotel. It’s very old and charming, he room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant serves quality food and drinks, and every member of staff from reception to food service to housekeeping were all very pleasant and helpful. I came to Worcester on a whim, but It turned out to be the best part of my vacation so far. I will certainly come back, and when I do, I’ll be booking a room at Ye Olde Talbot Hotel.

No heating on,just a portable radiator, did not heat up room enough. Room very dark, even with all the lights on. Very noisy, could hear people in other rooms and woken up by clanging and banging at 7am from restaurant below.

Noisy room

Fair place to stay. I had room #6 and had just about the worst nights sleep I’ve had for ages. About every 20 minutes, some water would flow (I suspect the automated flush to the gents urinals) and the noise in the room was awful. During the day you may not notice it but at night it was awful. No one to really report it to so doing it now. Breakfast was great. Would stay again in a different room. Cheap but you get what you pay for I guess

Can't say much in favour of this property. With no warning to me, vehicle access to the hotel and nearby car park was prohibited that day. Couldn't contact the hotel by phone and had to park nearly a mile away. Receptionist supported her company rather than being customer focused - politely. The bar area is clean and fresh. The hotel is shabby, looked dirty, and the room was gloomy and uncomfortable. We left very quickly and chose to drive three hours home rather than stay. You will hear more in due course.
