"Staff welcoming. The room was warm and comfortable, plenty of tea and coffee supplies. A choice of herbal tea and decaf coffee would have been appreciated. The building suits the landscape, the decor throughout the house felt a bit tired. Cooked breakfast provided which was fine. It would have been nice to have a fresh fruit option for the cereal and wholemeal bread for toast. Lots of parking available and it was well lit. Felt 3 star. "

"This was a complete let down. The bathroom had no fan so the condensation was running down walls and pooling on floor. The WiFi just did not work entire stay. The renovations are intense but the thing that tipped over edge was lack of parking and no pre warning of this. Ended up nearly getting wiped on busy road whilst trying to establish with hotel where to go (there is a paid for car park further down road, which they will refund). We were there to celebrate our honeymoon and my husbands birthday and I was in less than a celebratory mood by end of short break. Have stayed at other hotels in area which are far less stressful and chaotic"

"Hotel showing its age but lake view rooms very nice. Clean and tidy but older part of the hotel could do with full refurbish. Breakfast lovely and evening meal reasonable. Drinks very expensive."
