"First of all it could not be found. My sat nav couldn't find it. Varney Rd did not have a street sign and I don't think 44 actually exists. It took over 1 hour to locate this den. The key lockbox is situated on a wall, unmarked, and with all adjacent doors un numbered, on what can only be described as wasteland behind some shops. Once I located the keys (2) I brought my car around to park on this wasteland and was met by a couple of males getting their 'ladies' ready for work. The doors in this...

"Prices were very low and safe. There is a fast food restaurant nearby, which is convenient. Note that there was shampoo and soap, but no amenities such as hairdryers or toothbrushes. No air-conditioning, which can be a bit painful in hot weather. Heat can easily build up. Also, note that this is an accommodation for international students who stay here for more than a few months, and it is rare to find a guest like me on Expedia who only stays for 3-4 days and uses it like a hotel. This quaint hotel is a short, easy 10-minute walk from downtown Melton-Mowbray (plan to walk if you don't have your own car, as Uber hasn't found Melton yet and cabs are hard to come by at short notice). The grounds are well kept. Our room had a large, comfortable four-poster bed, and the bathroom was nicely outfitted with a large tub and shower attachment. The dining area looks out on the grounds and is bright and airy. We had a full English breakfast that was very good. All staff - front...
