This is one of my favorite parts of the drive on I-90. The first time I saw this monument, I was about 8 years old driving east with my Dad on a fishing trip. Before we approached Vantage, my Dad started to tell me about this old "legend" of a pack of crazy, wild horses that were known to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff. He went on and on about it, letting me get fully invested in the story. Before he was even done with his tale, he said, "Oh my God! Look! There they are!" pointing up at the statue of the horses. I'll never forget as my stomach turned upside down in complete horror in that first second of seeing them. It wasn't until second number 2, then 3 when I realized it was just a statue. And again, my Dad had pulled my leg. As the years passed and I took that drive with new people, I did the same thing to them. I would recommend you do the same. :)
