I hate to leave negative reviews, but I feel I need to at this point. I booked a room around 3:30 pm as I was supposed to be working the Wickenburg area, but my plans changed an hour later on a whim and I was sent to Phoenix. My room was “fully refundable” so no issue right? WRONG. I immediately reached out to hotels.com and they told me the hotel will need to cancel as I was in “travel mode”. I called hotel, they gave me the run around and said to call back next day if my card was charged as they couldn’t cancel the booking? I called the next day as I see my card was charged, and they told me the manager Jeffrey wasn’t in, gave me multiple wrong phone #’s to call Jeffrey at, none of which worked. I contacted hotels.com again and informed them that the hotel was not going to refund me and they were playing games. Hotels.com calls hotel, and magically they reach who… Jeffrey. Jeffrey says they will refund half?! Wait a second, a fully refundable, that I cancelled an hour later and never checked into, they want to still charge me? Nooooo way Jose. Hotels.com realized that this hotel was not being honest with me and we’re trying to take my $$ so hotels.com refunded me the other half to make it whole. Happy with hotels.com customer service, but not pleased at all with this hotel. They are in a small town and I get that every $$ counts, but you don’t just take $$ you didn’t earn. I will never be staying at this hotel when back in town for work, they are not trustworthy.
