The coffee at the continental breakfast was terrible—watery, poor quality, and unpleasant to drink. When we asked for them to make it stronger, their answer was, "That is the coffee they give us."
When I asked for more of the in-room coffee, I almost had to beg to get more than one packet. They gave me two instead of one.
We were three men in a room with a sofa bed. The sofa had no sheets or blanket. When we requested, they gave us sheets. We had to go back to ask for blankets and were told, "The blankets are indisposed." Indesposed? What is that? Finally, they agreed to give us a comforter - a solution they could have offered from the beginning.
The bathroom was long overdue for fresh caulk. There was mold and an unkept appearance to the property, but it was clean.
The waffles were okay, there was squeeze margarine (terrible), and syrup. The juice dispenser was room temperature and not pleasant. They had signs on the other snacks directing guests to take only one as they, "have children here as well." Seriously?
The overnight staff and morning staff were not great. One was a young man, and maybe his father? The morning staff was a young lady who was stingy with coffee. The afternoon staff member was a helpful young man.
For the price, it was hard to beat. The beds were great, and the sheets were clean. The breakfast and staff left much to be desired.
The next time I am in Wichita, I will stay elsewhere.
