New Laund Hill, Whitewell, Lancashire. Looking west across the River Hodder, which runs alongside the Inn at Whitewell, towards New Laund Hill. This hill rises steeply to 229 metres above sea level. The buildings in the middle distance are the tiny hamlet of New Laund, just in the next square north. The new part of the hotel is spectacular. Room was luxurious. Staff are friendly and responsive. Please note - not only is access to the pool/ sauna etc additional cost, you have to book a time slot. It is also at the other end of the hotel if you have mobility restrictions.
