I had a one night stay here and have zero complaints about the hotel. Check in was straightforward, room was very clean, with tea/coffee etc and the bar and restaurant had good options. Breakfast was lovely too.

Dinner was really great, the service and meals themselves. Attentive staff at bar too. Breakfast also prompt and well cooked to order. Frequently chose this hotel as good value and rarely disappoints

Good hotel for a nights stay

Stayed before and like the hotel. Fit for purpose and good value for a nights stay. Welcome not as good as usual, bit disappointing and didnt have a meal there as I usually do due to that fact.

Great stay

Super friendly/helpful staff. Good selection of beers at the bar. Walls/decor would appreciate a bit a refresh but a great stay none the less. If staying for The Northern Traverse/Coast2Coast and planning onleaving super early, they can send you off with a basic take away breakfast but need to know a few days in advance.

Noisy and bright ground floor room

I stayed at the Chase for just a night ahead of a business meeting. I got a ground floor room overlooking the front door. The lights outside were on all night making the room very bright. The noise from the rooms above and people coming and going at the front of the hotel kept me awake until the early hours. There were no black-out blinds and the curtains weren't great. The bathroom was poor...broken bath/shower taps, damaged bath panel and low water pressure. I needed a place for a good night of sleep...this wasn't it.

Seemed a lot of money for a fairly basic place. Very friendly, cleaner didnt miss any corners, poached eggs particularly good, but cheap bread and jugs of stewing coffee / tea at breakfast
