Lovely room in an excellent location, very near town centre and a beautiful park across the street. Room was comfortable and well maintained. The owners were helpful and communicated very well. Parking was nearby and free Whitby never disappoints and we would stay at Broomfield house again.

Although a comfortable stay a few things were not to the standard that would warrant the room price. 1) only one pack of biscuits for two people not good 2) a significant number of cobwebs around the corners of the room, ceilings and floors 3) towels had marks on them 4) for a two night stay I would have expected the room to be cleaned, towels to be changed, clean coffee cups and coffee/biscuits replenished 5) no breakfast provided, I have stayed in cheaper places with breakfast provided. Even if not hot breakfast possible, offering a selection of cereals or pastries and fruit could be a good option Good points 1) ease of accessing the property and room 2) no curfew in the evening 3) details about parking and places to eat 4) comfortable bed and nice bed linen 5) sofa in the room to relax

Very comfortable and relaxing stay. Room was excellent and very clean. Owner was very friendly and welcoming. Only thing to be aware of is the parking which is public ‘on street’ away from the premises .

Located close to the town centre, close to the bus station, restaurants and pubs. There is no parking but there is a free street parking nearby. Our room was clean and functional. The owner welcomed us on arrival, which was nice

Broomfield House is a charming period property with original features in a quiet neighbourhood only a few minutes' walk from Whitby Harbour, Trenchers fish and chips, cafes, bars and pubs and the railway station and within reasonable walking distance of major attractions such as Whitby Abbey. There is free on-street parking a couple of minutes' walk away from the accommodation. The proprietors were friendly and helpful and had kindly given us a free room upgrade overlooking the park and museum and we had everything we needed and more including a sofa, wardrobe, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, TV and WiFi, kettle, fridge etc. The room was spotless and the bed clean and comfortable, and we slept really well. Although this is a traditional property with no elevator, it is good value for money and we would stay here again. We had a delightful stay.

The location of Broomfield is excellent, 5 minutes walk from the train and bus stations and the town centre. Our room was stunning, lots of space, immaculately clean and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay and if we're back in Whitby we will be booking in.
