The room was perfectly adequate and had been recently renovated although the shower in the bathroom was a bit small. The rest of the hotel is looking a bit run down and in need of updating. No lift so had to carry two very heavy suitcases up and down stairs. Noisy neighbours in the corridor and outside room meant disturbed sleep and the air conditioner stopped working mid way through my stay. I used the washing machine once and my clothes came out looking worse than before they were put in so be aware. Food in the restaurant is very good although service can be a bit slow especially if delivered to your room. Staff were all very nice and helpful.

Great location to Whangarei. You can walk into the town. Watch the marina or go to the museum opposite. The room is a good size it comes with a sofa, large tv and tea and coffee (fridge included) the bathroom has a shower unit and a spa bath, if we had stayed longer we would have used it. There is an indoor swimming pool and spa centre on site. Ample parking included.
