This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in!! Steve the proprietor was the quintessential host! Breakfast was lovely. Rooms were quaint, clean and had everything you need! Steve checked with us daily to assure that we had all we needed. He let us use his washer and dryer which was greatly appreciated. Would recommend this Hotel to anyone traveling through Weymouth! It’s a gem!! Thank you Steve!! The Franklins

We had a wonderful stay. We booked a sea view room, the view was superb. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. The service we received from Steve (the hotel manager/owner) was fantastic. He made sure we were well catered for at breakfast as vegans. This was the best hotel we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend.

Steve is welcoming and runs a beautiful hotel. My room overlooked the sea,and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely , fresh fruits, compôte , yoghurts, warm bread and croissants. Lovely coffee. All in all I would recommend Chapter 1 as a very civilised resting place.

What A Find!!

Anyone who has stayed here before will certainly be a return! the place is spotless, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the location is awesome, our room was a sea view room with a spy glass which my daughter used instead of her telescope and we both had the most amazing stay. We will definitely return!
