「Kaalpul lived up to the hype of the photos! Staff were extremely attentive and warm. Only thing to keep in mind is that you will need a boat to get everywhere, but part of the charm. 」

「Staff was so welcoming. I was surprised when I saw them meeting us down at the parking lot (2 of them) giving us a warm welcome and offering to carry luggage/bags. Room had a great view of the lake and volcanos, bedding was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Entire room was so spacious. Breakfast was nice as well with a combination of many things we liked. Food and drinks were great. To top it all is the view of Lake Atitlan and the volcanos from the infinity pool. That is magical.」

「Room was small, but cheap and adequate. I used the bench outside my room to ponder, plan, read, surf and enjoy the flora. The grounds are a great garden. The staff, Cecilia and Joaquin, are wonderful. There is a bar/restaurant across the path, El Barrio, I highly recommend.」

「The room was not only clean, but had a spectacular view and was so comfortable. Staff was so nice and accommodating. One of the best parts about our stay was the included breakfast and the dinner (not included) which was delicious! We thought we’d explore the island more for dinner but ended up eating at El Picnic because it was just that good. Gaby is an amazing hostess and went above and beyond to assist us with whatever we needed as well. Thanks for a great stay that we will always remember!」
