"What a beautiful hotel / resort. To our surprise the beach water is unsafe for swimming but the pool makes up for it and then some. Beautiful grounds, had an elephant at the reception on the first morning before leaving for our safari. The buffet has a huge selection, also à la carte possibilities. We did a couples spa package and that was also great and not ridiculously priced. The only sad thing and this is no reflection on the hotel is that if you are going to Yala to see leopards you odds or very slim. There are way too many jeeps that even if a leopard was spotted you would probably not see it. "

"Yala Safari Camping is such an incredible & unique experience. The tents are so nice, the staff is beyond incredible. I stayed as a solo female traveler back in December and I felt so safe and taken care of. They help coordinate two safaris for me during my stay. The wifi wasn’t working while I was there so they gave me a hotspot to borrow while I was staying so I could keep up with work calls and emails. "

We booked full board and all the meals were delicious and great variety. Danushka served us at dinner and breakfast and was charming and very attentive. "
