The property was nice, but the room itself had a couple problems. First the temperature was so up and down, it would be hot and then you’d turn the thermostat down to be cold and then it would be too cold, then when it was warmer in there, it smelled like paint. Next the blinds were already broken when we got there, there was a light in the closet that was on constantly and would not turn off, the chrome cast they used for casting TV and Movies too was not even connected and I had to plug it in behind the TV myself. At night, there was constant banging outside and sounded like people moving around and like construction work, even though there was no construction. The technology that used to control the lights was nice, and different but it also did not work half the time and was dark. There also was not enough plug ins for the amount of things we needed to charge. I charged my phone next to the bed and my partner had to go across the room to charge her phone. The staff was nice and always there to help, especially the man at the front desk when we first book in. He was nice and helpful and always a friendly face to see and always wanted to say hi. Lastly, there was a couple of homeless people outside when the times we would walk around out side to get to the museums and different restaurants. Although it was a nice and different stay, I don’t think I would re stay there again if I had the chance.

Meh. Service fee of $35 daily was supposed to include $10/day food credit. Nope. Asked and was told only $20 for full 5 day stay. Child's book was taken during cleaning on first morning after we were told only cleaning every other day.

Clean but blinds didn’t open and it took 3 days and 7 phone calls to get them to fix. Their fix made it so the blinds didn’t close. Wouldn’t use them again except for a one-night stay.

Modern hotel with cool LED lighting and reclining bed. Rooms are clean and separate shower and toilet. Parking is expensive, but you can park for half price at Hall of the States building behind, garage entrance is on E st NW, check it on Spot Hero or Best Parking app. Front desk are not customer services oriented, you will get the same level of service from a government offices or a kiosk. Cleaning staffs and valet are nice.

I did not get the room that I reserved and the staff would not refund the difference. And a “city” view, is not as imagined; staring at the Hyatt is not what I expected. Lots of hair in the shower. It is nearly attached to a fire station so siren’s were loud. Parking is $50-$60/day. Staff in the restaurant were very friendly & helpful.

The hotel was very nice. Very modern with beds that rise and recline. Nice bathrooms also. There isn’t a coffee maker in the room but they have a coffee station on each floor by the elevator. I was disappointed with the bar area. Each time we wanted to go to the bar they said they were closed even though the hours posted said they should be open. When we arrived at 10 pm there was no food available at the hotel. You had to order uber eats or go out. Also housekeeping never took our used cups and threw them away. One night we ate in the room and they never took the dirty dishes. The front desk staff was very friendly but I feel they must have been understaffed in the restaurant and in housekeeping. The hotel is very close to the capitol and the museums. Location was great.

As VIP member I should have received a room upgrade. Instead, I got a basic room with view at AC systems and when I mentioned it to the management, I received no response. Secondly, we were arriving 1 hour prior to check in. I called the front desk asked if we can check in earlier as we have 2 little kids (2 and 4yo) and lady on the phone wanted to charge me $55 for early check in. So YOTEL you getting one star from me for such simple gesture that you don’t offer your guests of complimentary early check in if room is available. Lastly, they charge $35 per day for amenities such as coffee (in the hallway) and water. The coffee machine wasn’t working, I had to call the front desk so they can recalibrate coffee maker and wait 30 minutes. The pool was closed because it’s not a season. So they charge $35 per day for things they don’t have. For family of 4 we only were given 2 towels. Had to wait for hours to get extra towels as they said they understaffed.

Highly recommend with one scruple. The staff and facilities were amazing, everyone was so helpful and friendly. The location is exceptional, and all of the many things we were in DC to see and take part in were truly in short (15-30 mins) walking distance away. Around the hotel there were several easy places to grab food without the gouging prices (we loved Jack’s Famous Deli and Z-Burger!). The one thing that might be an issue for some was the utter lack of privacy in the room. The bathroom/shower situation is a cloudy glass partition that is little more than a shower curtain in the room. There is no separate bathroom, but an unlockable glass door that doesn’t reach the ceiling. Anyone in the room with you will get to hear and smell anything happening in the room, fyi. The doors and walls to the hotel itself are very thin, and normal volume conversations can be heard from guests on either side very easily. Despite the two minor things, the hotel is very strongly recommended, and was a big part of our wonderful trip to DC!

Very hip hotel that was unusual but very accommodating. I fell in love with the adjustable beds as they offered flexibility for room use, the room lighting options were also very cool and the hydration bars (on each level) was great for our adventures. Close proximately to capital and mall so we could explore on foot. Excellent place. Would stay there again.

Good Location, Great Restaurant, Big/Nice TV, Staff Helpful/Responsive. Hotel and Restaurant/Bar had a nice vibe. Noisy in the morning...could really never sleep past 7a.

It's a nice property. Rooms are clean, bed was comfortable. Good bar/restaurant. Every floor has complementary coffee and water stations, and the coffee is good. Service left a lot to be desired. No one answered in housekeeping or the front desk when i called, and i let the phone ring a long time. After my room was cleaned there was no kleenex. It was empty when i left the room, no idea why it wasn't refilled. Took 20 minutes to get more. My sink faucet trickled out. Should have been noticed and fixed before i checked in (they did fix it the next day). Iwent to get coffee this morning and there was no cream. Someone from housekeeping should have seen that, but my guess is that it's someone else's job and so it was ignored. I called the front desk, and this time someone answered. Still no cream a half hour later. Then i go to check out (which you have to do in the lobby. There was a long line and only one person at the front desk (looked like their second terminal was down). They have self checkout kiosks, but it wouldn't let me check out. So i waited for me than 20 minutes just to check out and was told i couldn't check out on the kiosk because i booked through Expedia. Staff was nice, just not very efficient. And my guess is that they are also understaffed.

Super modern hotel with unique tastes. Highlights include large rooms, adjustable bed, and adjustable LED mood lighting. The only “problem” is that it is quite a bit of a walk (15 mins) if you wanted to go towards downtown or to the center of National Mall. Not too big of an issue, unless you’re traveling back at night, in which you’ll have to pass a homeless shelter. We felt safe however, but always good to be observant and cautious, especially traveling with kids. On the other hand, the location is very close to the Capital (if you wanted to rope drop it), as well as Union Station (which is helpful for any trains going out of town). The hotel is very self-managed, with check ins and check outs done at a kiosks, so we barely talked to anyone during our stay. Overall, 8/10, would definitely stay there again.
