Mimslyn Inn Historic Hotels Of America

8/10 Good
"Historic hotel that was well preserved, manicured and relatively clean. Rooms were on the smaller side & bathrooms were TINY. The main issue we had was that the room smelled very musty & the bathroom shower leaked horribly. I tried to tell guest services, but they didn't seem effected by it. It's definitely the nicest hotel in the area so it is what it is. Speak easy restaurant is in the basement & the food was very good. Breakfast served on the main level & was delicious."

10/10 Excellent
"Stayed here as a halfway point between Charlotte, NC and NY. There's a Houlihan's attached to the hotel. It was nice to not have to leave the hotel for dinner after driving all day. We were traveling with 2 teenagers so booking a room with 2 queen beds and a sofabed was perfect. The 2 queen beds were in a separate room and had a nice large flatscreen TV. The living room with the sofabed also had a nice big flatscreen TV. There was a wetbar area above the refrigerator. Nice Crabtree & Evelyn bath products and I think this was the only place I've stayed recently that included a shower cap! Also, a sewing kit, which was a nice touch. Hilton Honors members get 2 free bottle of water and cookies on check in. Thrilled there was an allergy friendly cookie option since a few of us in the family are gluten & dairy free. The town itself also had lots of stores, restaurants and a starbucks. Also, if you're stil reading... the hotel is a mere 10 minutes from Dinosaurland which is a kitschy roadside attraction well worth the stop if you're into that sort of thing or have very young kids traveling with you :)"
