Little gem in the heart of the Old Town.

Brilliant apartment right on the square in the Old Town. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable, would definitely stay again. Only slight issue was the toilet didn’t flush too well on our first night. We called the office who couldn’t help and said someone would call in the morning. Needless to say no call was received however the issue self resolved so was probably a partial blockage within the block. Overall 8.5 out of 10, with the toilet issue stopping it being a 10 out of 10.

Based on reviews, I’m sure there are varying levels of quality, but I got a really nice apartment, right in the old town. Check in is a bit of a pain ... the office isn’t in old town, but about a 20 minute walk away. They did let me store my luggage in the office until my apartment was ready. I went back later to check in and they sent me to the property in a prepaid taxi. I was pleased with the apartment itself. The listing says they have a 24-hour front desk ... this isn’t exactly true. Their standard office hours are 9-8 on weekdays and 9-5 on weekends. They do have a 24 mobile number (problematic if you’re a foreigner arriving without roaming cell service) and they do charge a late-check in fee after 10 pm. They do message you with this info after you make a reservation, so I knew what to expect. Overall I had a great experience.

Charming location

The location of the apartment was absolutely perfect. The access and amenities were fabulous. I found the response times to emails not good enough. The hotel trf didn’t seem familiar with where the checkin offices were and not that bothered that he couldn’t help, however when I mentioned it at the check in that person was also less than interested. I was a single woman traveling on my own paying a premium for the trf so that there would be no problems like this and I did not get the service I was hoping for. The mattress on the bed in the apartment was completely worn and the hairdryer was dreadful. I mailed the Old Town apartments immediately and till now have not had the courtesy of a response. It was a pity these few service related issues took some of the charm of the apartment away.

Dirty!

The apartment I stayed in was horrendous. There was an infestation of a bug of some sort that would swarm the walls at night and they would be dead all over the counters the next day. My feet were black from walking on the floor in the apartment. They gave me one very flat pillow to sleep on, and all the extras in the closet and the duvet on the bed had yellow stains all over them. There should really be a phone of some sort you can use to call the hotel considering most people who stay here are tourists and dont want to use their phones and collect international fees.

It was in the Old Town but also not noisy. It could have been cleaner and it would have been nice to have an iron with ironing board so we could iron a shirt!

Horrible Experience

We had to get the keys on one location to then go to another location. Both locations were really hard to find. Once we finally reached our location, we realized that cars were not allowed and had to walk to get to the apartment. Since I was traveling with 2 kids, and had a 6am flight, walking at 3 am with suitcases was not an option. Ended up not staying there.

We had a great stay. Loved the apartment and the location! We were happy we picked it. Only thing is, we would recommend to have a garbage can in the bathroom as it didn't have one. We used the one in the kitchen during our stay.

Inaccurate location, needed a good clean

The description of this apartment was inaccurate. The posting has a point in a location that's in Old Town, but this is not the apartment location. You actually have to go to a different part of town to check in, and then the apartment was in a third location. It was a few blocks from Old Town, but the original ad (which describes itself as 'literally in Old Town') was false. Upon arriving at the apartment, it was surprisingly dirty. I like to walk barefoot, and had to keep my shoes on because of the dust and dirt everywhere. There was an empty bottle rolled under the bed. They clearly hadn't swept. I requested a broom the first day and it didn't arrive until three days later, the evening before I checked out. Generally the apartment is not well kept. The shower needs a good scrub, there's soap scum everywhere. The walls have random stains on them. The curtain rod fell down while I tried to pull the curtain back. It's cheap and felt safe, but I hadn't prepared myself for the level of quality, and don't feel like they did their best to manage expectations.

Bad: der Ausguss war verstopft, das Wasser am Waschbecken braucht dringend einen neuen Perlator - das Wasser lief nur dünn und in verschiedenste Richtungen, Klopapier war bis auf 5 Blätter aufgebraucht ( keine Ersatzrollen!!)
