Overnatning i Stary Smokovec

Villa Kunerad ligger centralt i byen. Det er nok primært et skihotel, så der er ikke gjort meget for at indrette værelserne særligt hyggelige. Jeg fik ikke tilsendt info om incheckning på værelset inden ankomst. Der er ikke nogen reception, så jeg måtte ringe til kontaktperson for at få info im hvordan man kom ind i huset. Der var heller ikke meget info om morgenmad, afregning af turist skat mm.

Good base for walking in the Tatra mountains

A lot of building work going on around Villa Kunerad so it is difficult to locate. Comfortable room with small kitchenette. Good choice at breakfast and very pleasant, helpful hosts. We were up early so building noise didn’t worry us but there was a lot of noise from early morning. Good value.

Big drawback was they wanted us to wire the 30% deposit which is expensive and difficult. They could not charge our credit card.

Very pleasent stay in a very nice hotel

We recently spent 3 nights at Villa Kunerad and our expectations were fully met. The hotel is lovely, well furnished and presented. Our room was extremely warm (maybe a bit too much) thanks to the underfloor heating and very cosy. The negatives are the missing shampoo / shower gel from the bathroom (luckily we brought ours) and the lack of blackout curtains. The owner / staff were very kind, answered all our questions, recommended places to go. Breakfast was very nice and filling, in a lovely environment with windows overlooking the mountains. Extra points for the sledges provided free of charge by the hotel and also a GREAT play area for kids which had helped us to have trouble free conversation in the communal area while the kids were playing. You can clearly see that this was a child friendly hotel and I have to say I do feel sorry we had to leave. We had a brilliant time and I can highly recommend this place to anyone.
