Really cute little place a stone's throw from the entrance, and just outside of Volcano Village (some great places to eat, a few cool shops). Easy, old-school villa style entry, Quiet. Loved the room (though the carpet needs a little work...). Loved the many small touches that made the room. Easy check-out. Would definitely use again. Only negative observation is that I would try to mask the structures behind the villa a tad more.

3 minutes from the NP entrance… Well maintained and clean. Somewhat surprising, didn’t see anybody during my stay but full info was provided beforehand. One slight criticism wb the lack of A/C. Not sure it is safe to open the windows at night. Overall- very good and recommended. Thanks

Very easy to get to the park. Average ratingfor staff is only cause there is none to rate but everything was clear. Just be aware it is not air conditioned and it was much too warm and it eas only mid April

I’ll try to be gracious and say that the room itself was clean and I understand that we came at a time where there was a severe storm going on, which is why there was no power or water. Since it is self check in, there was nobody we could talk to on site. I went into our room through a I called the number that was provided to ask about the power/water and the person who answered was not very pleasant. The lodge itself is a hit bit creepy and not having power made it darker and creepier.

Pros: responsive staff, easy close parking, near HVNP, easy check in, towels smelled great! Cons: I would look elsewhere in Volcano if I come to the park again. This place did not meet my expectations. The rooms need a fresh coat of paint, deep clean, new carpet, better mattresses and more outlets. The only outlet near the bed was behind the big impossible to move bed and both lamps were plugged in to that outlet. There were stains on the carpet and when I unplugged a lamp to plug in something I saw a LOT of dust back there. Also around the window of the back door, there was considerable dirt. Like I said, it needs a deep clean. Let’s just call this place rustic

We had the upstairs unit, which is very roomy and comfortable. There are two king-size beds, a kitchenette, a cozy seating area around the TV and a dining area with a table and 4 chairs. The setting was tranquil, with a vaulted ceiling and windows looking out onto lush vegetation. I wish we could have stayed longer!

We were booked for a standard queen room, but likely due to availability, put into one of the three 1 king + 1 full rooms and an amazing ceiling shower. It was well maintained, the keys and room prepped before we arrived very late. There was a dehumidifier making room not damp, and additional resources such as toilet paper, coffee and such were available in the self-hosting lobby. The location is barely five minutes from Volcano National Park and close to one of our favorite Thai restaurants. Overall a great experience. The only negative was the Kilauea Hospitality Group asking for credit card information on registration form (not provided) having already paid through Expedia. Would suggest they don't ask for this in such an unsecured manner or at all if pre-paid. But regardless, a great value for any stay in Volcano.
