「Bharat and Ann are welcoming and attentive hosts. The property was very clean and well-decorated, with excellent views over the countryside from the guest lounge. It was about a 20 minute walk into town - though a steep hill coming back. I would definitely recommend.」

「It’s a lovely place to stay if you like walking a lot. It’s a short drive to local places of interest. The hosts are lovely and very accommodating. The ladder up to the bedroom is quite a quirky feature. Overall it’s a lovely cosy base to explore from.」

「We loved everything about this unique hotel. The Godwin floor tiles are simply superb, but the 'traditional' feel to the hotel adds to the charm. Terrific value, and we will be back.」

「Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect.」

「What a welcome to the punch house. We arrived and they knew we was staying. Offered a drink before check in and a love service from the staff there. The food smelt amazing as soon as you walk through the door. Shown to our rooms and it was perfect. Not too big and not too small. Bathroom with shower was clean and hot. Perfect size beds which was very comfortable. Will be heading back soon to try out the food. 」
