The most wonderful hotel run by lovely staff members who went out of their way to make me feel at home. Location. Location. You are steps from excellent restaurants, cafes, shopping and more. Prime Valparaiso location. Be prepared to walk up and down hills. Valparaiso is hilly like San Francisco and this hotel is midway up a hill but so is everything In Valparaiso- there’s no avoiding it. Ubers are cheap and readily available. Do not stay down in the port area - it’s unsafe at night and do not stay to far up like the Wine Box is far away from everything. Stay at this hotel or somewhere close to this hotel. This is the best location in Valparaiso. Again the hotel ambiance, patios and staff are top notch for the price. I will definitely be back. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and felt the staff kept an eye out for me. Magical place!

Lovely hotel with beautiful views of the port. Excellent location and the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Nicely decorated with a large terrace. Reserve a balcony room if possible. Lots of good restaurants nearby, and the street art! I would come back to Valparaiso just to stay at this hotel.

Most of times most places are good but few are exceptional. This is definitely one of the exceptional ones. I just returned home after a visit to Latin America. While staying in this hotel, I had a medical situation that I had trouble dealing with given I knew nothing about the country and place nor did I speak Spanish. The hotel manager and his staff went way beyond their duty. They upgraded my room so I could have an excellent view of the entire city. The hotel manager even went to pharmacies for me. They also managed to get a doctor to come to see me. Their kindness is very touching and I will always remember that. Also, the view and location is probably as good as one can get in Valparaiso.

A true gem. We love it. The staff was amazing. Got upgraded to a spacious room with a balcony overlooking the city. Best view in town. Much better than many of the other views from restaurants and cafes. Staff very helpful and charming. Amazing sunrise views and beautiful tranquil evenings. I would come back any time. We feel very lucky to have been able to reserve a room with a lovely panoramic view of Valparaiso and the bay. The staff were amazing, and the location excellent. We happened upon the Concepcion funicular, an inexpensive way to get down to the harbor area. The neighborhood has many walking tours to look at the street art. A shout out to the staff—Karen who checked us in and was so helpful, Pablo the manager and Melissa on the afternoon shift. Loved this hotel and would choose this one again.
