Very small room
Great location as easy walking distance to Vigan attractions. However, hotel room was tiny, no wardrobe, no room to put anything. Room was just off reception so noisy with phone ringing and other guests checking in. Parking was on the street, Breakfast was limited to one choice and was very small.

Walking distance to the city centre. The breakfast doesn't offer much. The front desk is unorganised. Bathroom is small. Pillows are very hard and uncomfortable.

Casa Rica is a nice building in a good location, 5-10 minute level walk to historic zone. Rooms a bit too small, nowhere for luggage. Bathroom good with good hot water. Breakfast is poor, only Filipino food ordered the night before available. Some choice would be nice. Service a bit patchy, they didn't make up the room, apparently because they were unsure if I was in it.....

Reasonable stay in Vigan
Hotel building is very nice. It is on a busy road so quite noisy even at night. The rooms are small and breakfast is just OK. Staff is very friendly. Price is reasonable.

Quiet place for a hotel but lack amenities.
For people with a budget, this hotel is ok. But its quite isolated and no restos or convenience stores nearby. The owner and staff were nice but hotel lacks amenities maybe its a very very small hotel with less than 10 rooms only. The breakfast is not recommended for adults who wants to eat a hearty breakfast but maybe for the kids its ok. It also lacks parking for cars so if you have a car, its a first come first serve basis for only 1 slot outside the hotel, or else you will park across the street at your own risk. Overall our stay is just below average. Thank you

Charming little place in the city
Casa Rica Hotel looks like an old Spanish colonial home converted into a hotel. Sitting on the corner of a main road just a few blocks off Vigan's main attraction of Calle Crisologo, it is accessible yet offers quiet privacy. The place looks aesthetically updated, exuding old world charm, yet feels unmistakably intimate. We stayed 2 nights, and felt quite at home in the small but comfortable room.

My stay was a Nightmare
My whole stay was a nightmare.I will never ever come back in this hotel again...they gave me a room that is different from the one I booked online, the room is so small that I need to walk sideways to go in the other side of the bed.The bathroom is moldy, the air conditioner is so noisy.Very poor breakfast, and they have this thing that visitors are not allowed in your room or in the lobby,my cousin's visit's me around 7:30pm and they wont let me take them in my room Nor entertain them in the lobby, the staff told me that I can entertain my visitor's outside the building...THAT IS SO RUDE!!!!

YOUR EXCELLENT STAFF MAKE THIS HOTEL
The hotel was made for us by the friendliness, helpfulness and humour of the staff. I do hope that this is recognised in their wages. The brief sense I got from the owner's mother I think who responded in dismissive way to my question. I do not know but worry that the staff are not valued and paid well. Without them the hotel would be nothing. Please note the system will not respond to my ticking of boxes above David Collander-Brown

It has more character in photos than in life.
I was disappointed, my room was clean but I thought overpriced for what it was. The bed took all of the floorspace, I had not even enough room to do press-ups - I like to get some exercise when there's no gym available. The WIFI only worked once, the staff had to reset it for me to log-on that one time but I was never able to log-on again. It was a noisy corner with regards to traffic. It would have been fine for about 1/2 to 2/3 the price.

Worst Hotel Stay Ever!
This is probably the worst hotel we've been to! The owner of this hotel needs a customer service training! We arrived at this hotel earlier than the check in time, as you can imagine 8-hour drive from Manila to Vigan is very tiring and would love to have a hot shower and few hours of rest before roaming around the city. We booked 2 rooms in this hotel, and we requested the hotel staff for an early checkin even just in one of the rooms so that we can have a shower at least, the staff was apologetic and said that we have to pay 500php for early checkin. I asked the staff if the rooms are ready, which she said they are. So I asked if we can speak to the Manager, since we booked 2 rooms, they can at least allow us to check in early in one of the rooms. So we spoke to the Manager (the owner that lives just next door), she blatantly say that ALL HOTELS have the same policy for early check in! I was disgusted on how she responded to our request! My husband and I have been travelling a lot, and never did we hear someone telling us that crap. We have been to a 5-star hotel and never did we pay any single cent for an early check-in! The Breakfast was terrible! It was cold and the longanisa looks like a dog poo! Not to mention the coffee! They give us instant coffee, yes the Kopiko in a packet! Don't get me wrong but we are not expecting a 5-star treatment for 2-3 star hotel. We can forgive the Kopiko, but we cannot forgive the POOR customer service, esp management in this hotel!

Tiny dark room, tinier breakfast, very noisy
The room was the size of a 10X10 closet, lit very poorly by one tiny bulb. It was extremely noisy, with tremendous road noise and screeching roosters. Breakfast was a joke, a little bit of rice with an egg and a piece of pure pork-fat, along with a cup of instant coffee. Every time we would leave the room (even for 30 minutes) someone would enter the room and turn off the AC, which means after being outside in the searing heat one would always come back to a stifling hot room. The hotel is built to look like it is a historic building, but it is not located in the historic district but several blocks south, along a street with terrible traffic and no sidewalks. The hotel also advertises in-room safes as well as safe deposit boxes at the front desk, but this is a complete lie, there is no safe available to store any valuables.

I only gave it 4 stars for the surrounding neighborhood because I'm not used to the roosters all night! Otherwise what a nice place to stay, I'd definitely do it again...

Great value hotel on the edge of the old town
This place was great. It is in the official ‘buffer zone’ between the old town and the newer areas. There are a few old buildings nearby, but although this one has been built meticulously in the old style (to the extent that many will assume that it is a refurbished old building) it is actually fairly new and in great condition. It was only five minutes stroll from the centre of the old town. The rooms were great and very comfortable. The staff were extraordinary friendly, and were willing to provide a simple Filipino breakfast despite us having a lie-in past the official breakfast time. Vigan has a pretty and compact old town which is well worth seeing. You won’t need more than a day or two to see the main sites. Vigan is distinctly not a party town – while there are quite a few cafes there is only one licensed bar with outside tables on the main square.

Elegant B&B in the heart of Vigan
This inn represents the best of Vigan with its tasteful and elegant decor to match the late 19th century structure. It is decorated with antiques and artwork probably culled from the family's collection. The inn felt very welcoming and takes you back to how it would have been centuries ago.

Not worth the price.
Water smelled rusty. Bed linen was rough and thin. Towels were very old and stained. Breakfast was not appetizing (one egg, cold fried rice, one dog dyed red), a glass of water, instant coffee (3 in1). Breakfast was prepared before hand and left exposed. Definitely not worth the money. No guest parking (park in the street). We were the only guests. Will never recommend this hotel.

Quiet residential area. Close to Calle Crisologo.
Feels like living in the Spanish era with strong Spanish ambiance as seen in the hotel's interiors and architecture. Very airy and quiet.
This greeted us upon entering our room, adjacent to the Front Desk.

B&B 10 mins walking from the historical centre.
I stayed for 2 nights with a toddler. I think we were the only hotel's guests at the time. I found the hotel overpriced for what it was, the floors were a bit dirty and there was no restaurant closeby but otherwise it was ok.
