Good stay on the Camino Portuguese

This hotel was a pretty good deal mainly due to the awesome breakfast in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful and said we could make a sandwich and take some fruit for lunch for our Camino walk. The room was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

This is a hotel that has been renovated and, despite its facade is very modern in design. The rooms are compact ( not large) and very clean. Our room had a nice balcony with lovely views across the city. The hotel is located in a beautiful area of the city with lovely shops and great restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was adequate, but the breakfast space is limited and we saw later that people were queuing. It is very popular with Camino pilgrims like ourselves. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff is very helpful and responsive. The hotel is located very close to shops and restaurants. The big problem was the room fragrance!! They might be using cleaning products or room sprays.. even the bed sheets felt "soaked" in parfum. We had to keep the window open the whole night. I don't recommend this hotel to anybody who has allergies or astma. During the night my friend had to use a lot her astma inhaler because she couldn't breath!
