Several shops closing. Very small. I like the deer park, but this was the first time I was in Veendam more than a day and there wasn’t much to do past that.

The hotel is in a quiet area just outside Groningen. Easy to reach by car and if you wish to visit the city centre the P+R is convenient. Car parking is free and plentiful. Fantastic room, but this isn’t called Hogg house it’s actually Hotel Groningen- be sure to tell your driver that, or you will get driven around. Very nice place and easy to walk where ever you want to go. Very happy
