"Tried to cancel a booking abt 1 hour after. I bokked 24 h before my stay and tried to cancel 1 h later. They refused which is accirding to the rules, but still annoying and a sign of unpleasantness. I was gived optionnof possibly using this booking later at this B&B, unsurprisingly this was not an option for me. They can be jerks and follow the rules by the book all they want, I will not recommend them anyway."

"Fantastic location on the lakefront! Wonderful café with outdoor seating, offering a truly amazing selection of authentic Swedish pastries, cookies and cakes. The breakfast buffet was one of the most spectacular we have ever seen in Sweden during the past 25+ years, served in an ancient hall with arches and beautiful windows. And the free parking was right outside the door to our hotel building! FIVE STARS!!"

"I spent Midsummer on Visningsö and stayed at Wisningsö Hotell & Konferens. While the island is small, indeed, the hotel lies in the midst of it and offers a really good location. Hotellet erbjuder ett riktigt bra gym – ett av de bästa jag stött på när det kommer till hotellgym, dessutom helt gratis! Padelbanorna var också ett stort plus, perfekt både för träning och nöje. "This felt like staying in a friend’s farm house. What a neat way to take a break road tripping through Sweden! The house is spacious, plenty of games, pool table and places to roam after being in a car all day. Coffee and tea with all the fixins are readily available. Sit and read or chat with the other quests. We really enjoyed this unique lodging experience."

Hotel Gyllene Uttern

"The main building of the Gyllene Uttern looks like a Scandinavian castle. Perched high above Lake Vättern, it has a grand view of the lake, whether from a large terrace, one of its several lounging spaces, a glassed-in dining room, or from rooms facing the lake. It also has a baronial dining room, in which the very good breakfast buffet is laid out. We dined there in the evening, as well, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed comfortable suites overlooking the lake. The one disadvantage is that the old, castle-like hotel does not have an elevator, which made carrying up luggage a challenge, especially as we three couples were of ages 60 to 82. There was no indication of staff to assist with the luggage, which is the reason I gave "Staff & Service" 4 stars instead of 5. It has two newer two-story auxiliary buildings, which do have elevators. We have stayed in these before. The rooms are very comfortable, but not as charming as staying in a pseudo castle. "
