「Cute place, helpful host.」

「Good clean hotel. Centrally located」

「This property is exactly what we needed. Clean, practical and a central point for our excursions. The staff was extremely helpful. Our original room had some noise issues and we were promptly accommodated and given alternative accommodation. The breakfast was substantial and of great quality. There is a supermarket opposite the hotel which is very useful as the hotel does not offer lunch or dinner. A bit noisy at times but that is taken care of by the owners who provide ear plugs in every room....

「Our stay at Cala Lodge was an absolute delight! What a very special place Francisco and family have created! We loved staying in the Mathilda House. It was perfect for our family of 5, ages 14-82, nestled in the cloud forest with floor to ceiling windows. It was incredible to see wildlife pass by, we felt lucky to be guests in their well-loved and protected forest. We had dreams and conversations with the howler monkeys throughout the night, and agoutis, coatis and diverse birds were easily seen...

Room was clean and they provided a bottle of complimentary champagne for our anniversary. On site restaurant was delicious. We especially loved roasting s’mores at night. After checking in, we walked to our rooms and found it to be spacious and nicely furnished, however the interior seems a bit outdated with wooden panel walls that has a old funk.
