Five stars for the atmosphere and location! The rooms are spacious and clean. The only small gripe is the plumbing restriction (no flushing toilet paper), which takes a little getting used to. Overall, a fantastic choice for a comfortable and convenient stay.

I stayed at Frater Yucatán Hotel in Valladolid and overall had a pleasant experience with some clear strengths and areas that could be improved. One of the highlights of the hotel is its exterior design and architectural style. The façade and floor details give the place a rustic, almost medieval monastery-like character, which creates a unique and charming atmosphere. The location is another strong advantage. It is very central, making it easy to walk to several points of interest around Valladolid and return comfortably to the hotel at any time. That said, there are a few aspects that could make the stay even better. The cleanliness was acceptable, but there is definitely room for improvement to match the aesthetic quality the hotel aims to offer. It also feels like there was a good investment in the original infrastructure and design, but maintenance could be more consistent to preserve that same visual standard over time. Another detail worth improving is the condition of some room amenities. For example, the towels showed visible wear, and the bedsheets had noticeable holes, which affected the overall comfort experience. These are small but important details that can make a big difference for guests. Overall, the hotel has great potential thanks to its location, style, and concept. With a bit more attention to maintenance and room details, it could easily provide a much stronger experience. Considering the reasonable price range, I would rate the stay as a solid 3-st

Bedroom was massive and clean. Well stocked fridge and bathroom. Just really lovely and clean throughout. Location is superb, max 10 minutes to central on foot and you get to walk along one of the most famous streets in the area.

A little bit below the expectation. The area is good and near to famous avenue and monastery. However, there is apparently not enough devotion into the inner design especially the furniture and modern equipment given its price and outdoor facilities and welcomed cafe.

Staff very helpful. Jacuzzi room was nice. Updating suggested in pool area as wood of deck deteriorated. Jacuzzi room needed dusting as cobwebs on headboard. If you can sleep with barking dogs on and off at night this is a good place to be. We were allowed to go up on terrace to listen concert of Julieta Venegas and we very appreciative of this added plus as there were tons of fans in concert grounds. Location is close to restaurants. Thanks to everyone who made our stay enjoyable!

Only stayed one night but was very pleased with our stay. There was some distant noise from a nearby club and the birds in the morning but we were provided ear plugs that we didn’t end up needing. Location was great . Property was beautiful and clean. Check in/out was quick and smooth. Breakfast at Mariapura Cafe was amazing!

Wij logeerden 2 nachten in dit prachtige hotel. Onze kamer was voldoende groot voor 4 personen en heel mooi ingericht. Kleinschalig, rustig en toch dichtbij het centrum. De ideale uitvalsbasis voor een bezoekje aan verschillende cenotes (Oxman, Zaci,…) en Chichen Itza. In het centrum waren er voldoende lekkere en charmante restaurants aanwezig. Ook de aangrenzende (koffie)bar is een aanrader. Als we al een puntje van kritiek kunnen geven, dan is het de lengte van het zetelbed. Onze dochter is 1m75 en het bed was helaas niet lang genoeg (maar voor 2 nachten zeker wel doenbaar😉). Zelf zou ik hotelgasten ook voorzien van een extra 2de rol toiletpapier.

From the moment we checked in, the receptionist was unfriendly. The lock on the balcony window in the room we were initially assigned was broken, allowing anyone to enter. We requested assistance, but instead of offering to change to a different room, they offered to repair it. After an hour, they told us the repairman would take a long time to fix it, and assigned us a different room. They initially offered us a downgraded room, and only when we told them we didn't want that did they give us a room of the same standard. The room we received smelled awfully moldy. We wanted to leave immediately, but since we'd already paid for three nights and four days, and HOTELS.COM doesn't allow cancellations, we're considering forfeiting our money and moving to another hotel.
