Roads in Mongolia aren't really roads, they're tracks. Naturally, it's very easy to drift off on track and onto another, which is why we spent an entire day trying to find what we believed was the main 'road' over Mongolia to the capital. It turned out that that was just a track as well, but we got some pretty views along the way.

Approaching Uvs Lake, in Mongolia. Driving got very tough as we got closer to the lake, although it did provide a rare opportunity to oversteer and slide around in a Nissan Micra. The scenery around here is great.
From Khovd, we followed the course of Khovd River, hoping to be able to cross it to Bayanuur and continue to Ölgii. There was no bridge. :) However, it was a splendid and warm autumn's day and the landscape was... wow. #waterlust #GreatOutdoors #OnTheRoad
