I would recommend this small non alcoholic Beach Hotel. Lots of shopping and restaurants just outside their gate. Security was very good. "

"Low rise buildings (mostly ‘bungalows’) set in colourful, well tended gardens within the owners grounds, with direct and wide access to a beautiful beach. The owners treat visitors almost as their personal guests (in a non invasive friendly way) The manager Margaret speaks good English and could not be more helpful or friendly. The staff team too are friendly and efficient. Flame tree cottages has a well kept swimming pool and beach bar serving a good variety of drinks and food, not as ‘exciting’ as some other local restaurants but with good portions. There are kayaks on offer and Flame tree have their own dhow boat offering reasonably priced & sometimes private excursions (guests can just say where they want to go, or ask for recommendations). Breakfasts are plentiful & special diets are catered for, served on the terraces outside each bungalow. Flame tree cottages is in a convenient location within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, cafes, a turtle sanctuary, local housing etc. It’s an oasis of calm within quite a busy & interesting community with the added advantage of being directly on a beach with glorious sunsets.
