Great place fue a great rate. There’s not a lot to do in Urubamba specifically but it’s a good hub to see the sacred valley. The rooms are nice, plenty of hot water (even used the jetted tub) and good breakfast. Bed are comfy too!

The hotel it was clean very nice, the service was excellent but i had a problem they was charging extra for the breakfast, I paid for two guests and they only give me for 1 person. They was charging me $6. I was so disappointed. I would never going there again

This is the best hotel I stayed at in the Cusco region and it was the cheapest. If I had known about its quality, I would have stayed longer. Urubamba is a wonderful location I explore the valley (2-3 days) with one colectivo ride away to all key sights. Breakfast was great (except the cold coffee). Here are suggestions for improvement: 1 towel hangers should be installed in then bathroom; 2 the front desk should be staffed more frequently in the evening; 3 put a lock on where you keep luggage. Just some minor points but I think overall this hotel has great potential.

The Hotel California in Urubamba is the highest building in Urubamba, so that you have a great view over the Sacred Valley. The Hotel is very new, but already seems to be very used and also the quality of the building is not the best. You can see that the Peruvians have not the best construction skills. At the time we visited the hotel, there were not many guests in the hotel. So in three days we only got once the full breakfast buffet. On the other two days they served a reduced menu directly to our table. Additionally the whole dining area was very empty and only equipped with few chairs and tables. So you have a little the feeling of a lost place at a new hotel, which was weird for us. Also there is a restaurant option at the rooftop, but you can't find any information about that beforehand. They only told us that once at the evening. Our room was pretty and comfortable. The shower was hot and had a very good water pressure. In conclusion it was very reasonable, but we expected a little bit more. Maybe they can improve some points to be the best Hotel in town.

This property was not what I expected based on the reviews I read. Disappointing. In particular - - The jacuzzi in the room was a very nice touch after a day of touring, but when we turned it on black particles shot out of all the air vents. Yuck. So we tried to drain it and the plug would not come out. - Breakfast was extremely basic and not very fresh or tasty (except for some of the fruit). - The hotel seemed to be either under construction still or in the midst of renovations. There were building materials everywhere. - There is a disco in the ground floor that operated until at least 3 am. This made sleeping - even with earplugs - quite impossible.
