「Everything was good except for the service. The reception staff does not speak well to the customer, they answer questions sharply and with expressions on their faces as if they are not happy to have customers there. The staff talk to customers as if they are of too high status and we are there for free. I travel a lot for work and I try to stay in hotels that relax me but the customer service at this hotel forever scared me away from returning.」

「5 minutes walk to train station and 10 minutes walk to town centre, staff were average, not active enough, could be better. Room was big , but accessories could be improved」

「The tub is hard to get in and the plastic door above the tub is uneasy to shut, therefore it leaks. The condition is excellent.」

「The Hotel does need renovation to compete with newly build hotel chain. The room size is descend, but the furniture is old and has many scratch. If can do some renovation, I am sure can bring back many more customers.」

「I've been in several hotels, of late - everyone has had a niggle of some sort - but everything here was first class from drawing the curtains to the freshly cooked breakfast. It made such a change.」

「We were given the family room on the second floor instead of a double room due to double booking. I would not recommend it if you have knee problems as there is no lift. Bed is comfortable had a good quiet nights sleep with the heater turned off. It is conveniently located to the Royal and Derngate theatre. 」

「Very noise room, knocking radiator all night and a very early wake up by the geese so really not a good night sleep. Saved by a very lovely lady in the breakfast room called Vicky who was an absolute ray of sunshine. Big thank you to her for making my morning ☺️」
