"The views are spectacular. The staff was very nice and the food is great, especially the breakfast. Unfortunately the cabins are dated, years in the furniture, missing utensils and no blackout curtains which made sleeping very hard during the midnight sun. Overall worth it for the location!"

"Loved staying here for a few nights while passing through Norway. Beautiful area and interesting buildings, quirky and cosy with excellent food to go with it. We were lucky with the weather- snowed every morning and the sun out through the day, just perfect. Oh, and the northern lights show was the best I’d ever seen, stunning."

"Beautiful place, great common area both inside and outside. We had late check in and it worked great. Cafe is delicious, loved the sauna and the apartment room was comfortable and had outdoor space as well."

"No reception. You check yourself in. They email you a code for the door and the key to your room is inside the room. A couple bathrooms assigned to specific rooms, kitchen contains. Was clean as you aren’t supposed to wear your shoes inside."

A great splurge

"This is a very special place. The "village" is actually the cottages and associated restaurants etc. Nusfjord, the fjord, is tiny, isolated and intimate with huge rock walls. The property has done an excellent job in preserving the feel of the original fishing village. Lovely, well trained staff. "

"These cabins were beautiful and had room for us to move around. They had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Heated floors in the bathrooms. Beautiful decor. Lotions and soaps. It was really a classy place. It was my favorite place we stayed while in Norway. The restaurant was also really nice with great food."
