「The front desk manager, Chardonnay, was just amazing - so friendly and helpful! The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel and the room it was in was beautiful with all of the windows and sunlight. Beautiful clean rooms. Even though it was right at the airport it was nice and quiet. I would definitely stay here again!」
"I arrived at this hotel at around 10:30PM on August 18 to check in to my reservation for my one night stay with my husband. The receptionist told me that there were no available rooms. She said the reservation I booked on Expedia should not have gone through. She also said that they were only allowing 3 night stays because they were busy for college move-in day. So I asked if they were still going to charge us and she replied no.
We didn’t want to inconvenience her so we decided to stay at a different hotel. We left at around 11:15PM. Then at 12:42AM I received a call from this hotel by a male employee saying that I did not need to come to their hotel anymore. I answered that I was there at 10:30PM and they didn’t have a room for me. However the hotel charged me $266.76 for the room we did not stay in.
I messaged Expedia explaining the situation. Expedia talked to the hotel, to which the hotel said that we canceled our reservation and they couldn’t refund the money
The Expedia team also were not reading our messages thoroughly and kept saying the same thing I assume because they were written in Chinese
I believe that this misunderstanding was not our fault and Expedia and the hotel should have done a better job at communicating
