Staff was very helpful and kind, common spaces are very nice, but the room was extremely old. I've stayed in other rooms at this hotel, and this section (249 area) is in desperate need of a renovation and update to match the rest of the hotel.

A good location in the central part of Ulm with good access to the train station and walkable to the center of the city. Construction near the entrance made finding the hotel a bit difficult at first. The staff was helpful and experience was good.

Great location. Bad timing stay. Overall recommen.

Nice stay. We picked again because of the parking. We arrived to find that it was undergoing repairs and not available to us. Inconvenient and also more expensive to park at the public space. The bed was not so comfortable this stay… Also a workman with very strong body odor used the elevator- it was so strong that we exited immediately and only used elevator when checking out to get our luggage down. The people were friendly and the breakfast was lovely. We will stay again.

GREAT HOTEL

The hotel is a 10 minutes walk from the railway station. It's a modern building situated in a quiet area. We stayed on 2 occasions in the hotel and both rooms we had were spacious, clean and comfortable. It is very easy to walk to the centre of Ulm. There are plenty of restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel, with spacious and very comfortable rooms, only a bit small bathrooms and carpet to be removed( but I have noticed in other rooms carpet may not occur). Very good quality of beds.Gorgeous breakfast room, staff very kind and helpful. Centre town within 3 minutes walk, elegant restaurants and boutique nearby. Garage available. It has been a very pleasent stay.

The hotel was very convenient for trams to Ulm University and to the Airport. The room suited my needs very well. The breakfast was good. It might have been nice if the bar were open at all. But all in all a very nice hotel

The hotel is ideally situated right in the centre of town. The hotel lobby is quite stylish however the room we were given was nothing like the one in the picture. It was a corner room with very basic fittings, an old fashioned corner bath, the shower was a hand held shower head in the bath and the bath fittings were rusty. That’s said it was a powerful shower!

Booked a room for 2 nights with a double bed at a cost of £353, ended up with a second floor room, 2 small single beds, dirty marks on the carpet, shower slide bar with the handset installed incorrectly meaning that you have to hold the handset all the time when showering. Underground parking helpful, staff were fine just got an overpriced tired room.

Central to Saar Louis

The hotel is on one of the town squares in the middle of the city. Recommend reserving parking, which comprises a couple of spots in the parking lot behind the hotel. Access to the hotel is often only from the back entrance. The staff were exceptionally friendly! The hotel could probably use a renovation. The wall paper in the room was peeling, but otherwise the room hotel was nice. No elevator available.

Bad: No air dryer in the room. No water boiler. The moquette was very old and looked like dirty. The furniture in the room very old. A bit expensive for the offered service. Good: perfect position 5 minutes walking from Ulm Munster in the old town but easy to reach by car. Nice breakfast room and good breakfast. The hotel has a garage with plenty of spaces. Our room was a real 4 bed room and it is perfect for families with two small children. Hotel employees very friendly at the reception and at the breakfast

Bad night in Ulm.

The hotel seems like it was really nice 20 years ago. The carpet in the room was really worn and with permanent damages. The sink in the bathroom cracked (but not leaking), the shower minimal. Overall budget-feeling, with a fitting price. I can take all of that. But, more seriously, the room did not have a black-out curtain, and my window was placed next to a lit corridor of the hotel, making the room bathing in strong light the whole night. The room did not have an AC so the heat was strong and I could not have the window open as there were drunk laughter from the backyard where other guests had a party. It was not nice. Spent half the night awake sweating. Gotta say breakfast was great tho, and the location is a good one.

The room's carpet had disgusting stains, our room was not cleaned for one night of our stay after we had put up the request clean sign, the shower curtain was short and did not keep the water in the shower, and the TV was positioned so as to be almost impossible to view from the bed.

Great value and location

The Centro Hotel Stern is a great value in a great location, not far from the Ulm Munster Church and plaza. Many restaurants nearby. My room showed wear, but was clean and had everything I needed, thus it was a great value. The breakfast was exceptional, well worth the extra fee. I was also able to park my car underground for an extra fee. Staff was helpful. Very happy with my stay.
