This property is an historic gem and reasonably priced. Generous room, best breakfast and relaxing lounge. Staff a little lacking.

A great place to stay
This is a hotel which really lives up to it's high rating. The staff and service were super, the food was great, our room was comfortable and warm. Nothing was too much trouble. If only every hotel was this good!

This is a lovely building with an interesting history. The staff are very helpful, the food is good and there is a lovely, peaceful lounge which is so nice we invited friends over for coffee.

Simply perfect
It was a delightful stay, the people are very friendly and very helpful. The food is delicious. If I had been staying with a friend I would have played croquet in the beautiful gardens.

Calm, old fashioned luxury. Sad that there were not more people there. How does it survive? Very nice to be able to use the swimming pool at the Golf Course. They should make more of this in their publicity.

Just Perfect.!
This is a lovely Country House Hotel and one we stay in when visiting family in the area. We have also had family occasions here and every time it could not be better. In fact we would rather move our family event if this hotel not available rather than stay elsewhere. The staff, hotel and setting is just perfect.!

Lovely historical hotel but it is tired. Needs refreshing, few weeds in courtyard on way to room as an example. Deathly quiet in drawing room before dinner. Could do with some elegant music.

Comfortable hotel - expensive
Overall we had a pleasant one night stay at Horsted Place Hotel. Just a couple of little niggles which were a little annoying. The pillows are terrible - like sleeping on rocks - very uncomfortable. The radiators in our bedroom and bathroom didn't work, and as the mornings and evenings are rather chilly at the moment, that wasn't good - very cold in the bathroom. Tea making facilities aren't provided in the room, but they will provide a tray including kettle if you ask. This seems a bit mad - why not just provide it in the first place and then you can decide if you want to use it. It is a lovely hotel in beautiful grounds, but for the price you are paying, I think that these small improvements could be made.

Golden Wedding
Attended a Golden Wedding celebration so stayed the night. The wedding celebration was expertly handled by the staff and the food was excellent. A very successful venue.

Idyllic stay in the country
The hotel was perfect for a calm stay with the most beautiful immense grounds. The food is excellent and pricing a pleasant surprise. Our room was calming, and the whole place is full of character.

Amazing stay, Superb place and great staff!
The hotel is beautiful, bedroom lovely. Staff were superb and very helpful as my partner was in a wheelchair they were very accomodating. Breakfast was very nice and afternoon tea was lovely.

If you want a luxurious treat look no further
Staying at this hotel was a truly luxurious experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive and responded quickly and efficiently to all our requests. The Windsor Suite, as used by the Queen and Prince Phillip when the building was a private house, was extremely comfortable and spacious with amazing views of the grounds.

A short break not far from home
My 80th birthday; needed a quiet retreat, no family party this time. Had been here for large luncheon parties in several past years. As expected this midweek 2 night stay where we were very undemanding, but found super staff very understanding, was exactly what we wanted.

Superb Place to Stay
We checked in late and asked for room service which appeared almost instantaneously. The room was fantastic and the overall appearance of the hotel was spotless and well cared for. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our stay was the perfect end to a long journey.

It was a joy driving up towards the hitel. Lovely setting and a beautufil building which has been well maintained and kept in its orginal condition. Staff are very friendly , welcoming and very attentitive. The inclusive breakfast was very satisfying. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for any reason!

Exceptional food. Very spacious suite.
Very interesting building of a high standard of Victorian design and construction. Mature parkland setting with avenue approach. Wonderful flower arrangement in entrance hall fireplace and log fire in main hall corridor.

A lovely country house hotel
Horsted Place is a beautiful olde worlde country house hotel. Warm and welcoming with wonderful staff and fantastic food. A lovely place to relax on a short break but also a good place for family functions and larger entertaining.

Very nice hotel,close to eastbourne and hastings
We have stayed at a lot of different rated hotels,I must say this hotel beats them all,staff made us very welcome,nothing was to much trouble.
