Clean and nicely themed room. Great breakfast buffet with lots of food. Interesting and tasty Swedish style pizzas. Friendly staff. Big Spa department (extra charge) with several saunas, steam room, indoor and outdoor pools. Beautiful coastal and dune beaches.

The location is nice, 10 minutes walk to the beach. The restaurant is so so. The rooms are basic, more like an upmarket hostel.

Halmstad Hotel Apartments
On Google earth this hotel looked like a lorry driver's stopover, and I was a bit concerned what it might be like. However it proved to be good value for money, with thoughtful little extras that you normally don't get for the price.
