Rooms are clean, decent, but you can hear everything happening outside & in your neighboring rooms. The person checking me in had no idea how to do it & had to call the owner to figure out my pet deposit, which room to put me in, how to get my key going, etc. I spent a good 15-20 minutes just checking in. Then apparently the owner told whoever was helping me to inform me I need to keep my dog off the bed because it’s not a pet room… I understand why… but I’m literally paying a pet deposit for a pet friendly room.
When I finally got to my room, after I unloaded my car, got ice, etc… I realized the door wasn’t locking (I had left it ajar while unpacking and hadn’t noticed). I called the front desk to mention it & the guy said, “oh I guess the lock is broke, just use the deadbolt.”
In the morning around 6:30am, I brought my dog outside & when we got back to the room it was actually locked. I had grabbed my room key out of habit… but it didn’t work. I went down to the office & tried ringing the bell several times, went for a walk, came back & tried ringing it again, nothing. I went back to try my door & key again with no luck. Decided to knock on a neighbors’ door to ask if they could call the front desk for me, they so graciously did, but no one answered at the front desk.
I needed to leave soon, so I thought I’d try my door again & give a little more oomph since it wasn’t even locking properly the night before, & it popped open with a firm push. Shoulda just done that.
