This little, incredible green and blue lake which is hidden in Upper Styria got famous by Ashton Kutcher who posted pictures of it last year! Even though tourists come in thousands each day now, it is still an idyllic place and you can even dive there and the water level chances constantly. #WeekendGetaway #Waterlust
Green Lake in Tragöss - Austria
September 2016 Sackwiesensee, Hochschwab, Steiermark land, Austria Sackwiesensee is a small hidden mountain lake just under the main ridge of Hochschwab mountain range. It is located in altitude of 1.414 meters. It is few hours hike southwest from the Schiestlhaus and totally worth due to the variable countryside (barren limestone plateau with grassy meadows, green scrub pine forrests, classical mountain forrests) and less crowded hiking routes (namely ať the end of the season). Sackwiesensee offers a great natural swimming opportunity, although it is quite cold being a mountain lake.
