A very pleasant hotel in a convenient location. Hotel de France is mid-range hotel. It is not a dentless, new property, but it was immaculately clean and had a bright and cheerful character. It had a great location near Capitole centre, but still not too far from the train station. The staff were very helpful and friendly, The breakfast was good. The best and unexpected bonuses - a small lift and air conditioning in my room! What pleasant surprises for a hotel in France in this price range. I would highly recommend a stay here.

This hotel is excellently located, close to much of the pedestrian center of Toulouse. There are many restaurants, cafes, shops, and landmarks well within walking distance, as well as Metro stops. The staff are unfailingly helpful and pleasant, and the continental breakfast is comprehensive. The hotel itself does show its age and could use some attention. It's a charming old building, but I wish the rooms, furnishings, and decor were in a bit better shape. The bed was comfortable, and thank god for the air conditioning, as it was 95+ F each day of our stay. In sum, a good value in a great location, especially if you spend most of your day exploring. If you want a comfortable lobby and large room to spend more time in, perhaps look elsewhere.

We stayed at Hotel de France for 3 nights. The hotel's location was great, the bed very good, great shower and water pressure. We did not have breakfast there so can't comment. Only issue is elevation went out during the heatwave in Toulouse and we were on the 5th floor. Would stay here again. Also don't miss the amazing maket on the adjacent street. It's huge and has so many wonderful vendors - bakers, fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses and prepared foods. A true gem for the city.

Hôtel et personnel très agréable. Bonne situation dans la ville. J’ai toutefois déploré qu’il n’y avait pas de possibilité de faire un café ou un thé dans la chambre.
