Awesome stay. Room had complimentary snacks and drinks which was a great bonus, as well as free pod coffees and creamers in the kitchen area. We were lucky enough that we were the only room rented of the 4 available, so we did have the space to ourselves. Not sure I would have enjoyed there being multiple guests around, which was something the ad didn't detail. Bed was a bit hard, and room was a bit small to fit a queen in it. Was nice to have private backyard access though. Overall, would stay again.

If you're on a budget and looking for a place to stay just for sleeping and is walking distance from the subway/downtown area, it will be up your alley. However, the space offered in the description was misleading. If you're not comfortable with a cramped bedroom with an "ensuite" with a toilet and standing shower inside a renovated closet, look elsewhere. For someone as small as my partner and I, it was a compromise we were willing to make in favor of convenience. Additionally, there is a chance that there will be other guests staying in the second bedroom. You do have a private room with a lock and key, but there is an entrance, common room, and a partially stocked kitchen that is shared.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the room to be quite spacious and very sweet lovely pleasantly decorated. An enclosed and private patio with four chairs and a coffee table was adjacent to the room. I was terribly thirsty when we arrived, so I was happy to see that there was a couple of bottles of water and chips and cookies and juice and lollipops, waiting for us. A few different choices of coffee were provided. The shower worked great and toiletries such as face soap, shampoo, and body soap were also in place. I would definitely come back again. Thank you Margie.

This property was certainly value for money. My room was smallish but comforatable with the added feature of private garden. The communal kitchen was well stocked with coffees/teas/etc. There are very many restaurants within easy walking distance.

Vorsicht...Fake-Gefahr!

VORSICHT, hier wird man auf eine falsche Fährte geführt. Es heißt 'deluxe'! Aber es ist wie ein Mix aus WG und besserer Studentenbude ... es wird vorgegaukelt, man hätte ein eigenes Appartament. Stattdessen hat man Mini-Bad, das eine Klapptür hat, um überhaupt Platz zu finden. Das Waschbecken passt in JEDEN Schuhkarton. Abtrocknen nach der Dusche geht nicht...zu klein. Ein wackelickes Badregal droht bei jeder Klospülung einzustürzen. Im Zimmer ist KEIN Platz für einen Koffer, nicht mal für einen Trolly... es gibt keinen Schrank, Regal oder ähnliches. Der 'garden access' ist ein ungepflegter Hinterhof, den man aber zu schätzen lernt, weil das Zimmer soooo klein ist. TV? ja, es gibt ein Gerät. Aber KEIN einziges Programm! Nur eine uninteressante Arg von Mediathek, also nichts Aktuelles. Aber das ist alles nicht so schlimm wie diese zwei Aspekte: das vermeintliche 'deluxe'-Zimmer ist direkt vor der für mindestens drei weitere Zimmer...man hört JEDEN Kaffee, riecht JEDES zubereitete Mahl (in unserem Fall wenig inspiriertes indisches Essen...) Der Geruch des Küchenmülls zieht genauso ins Zimmer wie dad Essen...etc. Das Bett verursacht so laute Geräusche, dass an Sex gar nicht zu denken ist, weil jeder Kaffeekochende Gast ALLES mitbekäme...und wenn über einem einer geht, klingt das wie stetes Trampeln. Die Lage ist allerdings extrem super. Und ja, es gibt im Haus tatsächlich eine Wohneinheit, die man deluxe bezeichnen kann...aber der Eindruck (plus die Fotos) isr irreführend!

Nice setting and convenient to downtown. Walkable to business centre of city and close to TMU. Room is compact while outdoor garden suite would only be useable in summer/fall.

I stayed in the single room on main floor. Very tiny bathroom but functional. Would be tight with 2 people but good for 1. Only room for 1 vehicle so if multiple guests you’ll have to look for parking off site.

Margie is a very kind, sweet and caring woman who provided a clean room and as well as use of the kitchen. I personally did not use the kitchen as I come from a very small town and enjoy eating out at restaurants whenever I get the chance but, I definitely appreciated that use of the kitchen was provided. Although I was a little bit disappointed that the advertisement was a bit misleading but that could have been a fault of my own. I did not read into other reviews and such. I was expected a hotel-like environment but nonetheless, I enjoyed my stay here. Margie has went above and beyond to ensure that my stay in Toronto has been nothing other than great and comforting. I missed my flight the day I was supposed to check out and although Margie did not have to accommodate me whatsoever but, she allowed me to have a late check out without issues. The house, kitchen and room were all very clean. Only thing that I would have changed, is to make it easier to go out for cigarette breaks but that is my own personal preference. I would recommend to anyone as the location is right in downtown Toronto. I stayed for a conference which was less than a 5 minute walk away. I have stayed from Monday right until Thursday evening. Thank you so much Margie! Appreciate you and your kindness. :)

Excellent location

Excellent location on a quiet leafy street right next to Yonge. Subway station minutes away. Room itself is small and basic but has everything you need including en suite bathroom. Host left us some snacks and drinks which was a nice touch. Our room had access to a back garden/patio which was a nice space to relax in. Shared kitchen was well stocked with tea and coffee. There's a mini fridge in the room as well.
