The breakfast area was not well maintained, with noticeable cleanliness issues, including a dirty floor and the presence of broken glass. Additionally, there was an insufficient supply of cups, forks, and cereal bowls, resulting in delays for guests. The bread did not appear to be fresh. Service from the breakfast staff was less attentive and welcoming compared to other locations. Furthermore, the elevator service was inefficient and did not meet expectations."

"When we checked in we indicated we had been up for over 30 hours and were very tired. We were given a room with a lounge above and all we heard for hours were the scraping of chairs, so needless to say we didn't get any rest."

"This hotel was a perfect choice--centered in the middle of Rotterdam. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bar/dining area was bright and the food was excellent. It was easy to extend my stay when my circumstances changed. I would stay here again."

"We loved this hotel. This was our second stay and we would definitely stay there again. This place seems to have a culture of hospitality. The staff from the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeepers were very friendly and always ready to help. They have a lovely breakfast which was included in our package which may involve an extra charge. One tip is that the subway is at the end of the street. We arrived at the central train station and the tourist info person never mentioned that option. We took a cab when we could have hopped on the subway for just a euro. The subway stop is Wllimeniaplain (sp?) Hats off to Hotel New York, one our favorite places to stay."
