We had a wonderful stay. The hotel experienced a huge disruption that was cause by another guest and the hotel staff handled it beautifully. Great staff, super cute hotel and legend is, it is haunted. We didn't experience any ghosts. Maybe next time. Lol I reccomend this hotel if you are traveling through Tonapah

The whole nostalgia vibe of the hotel was awesome! I had hoped to encounter the ghost of the lady in red, but that didn't happen. I didn't care for the remoteness of the parking lot. There was no indication that it was monitored, but thankfully our car was not tampered with.

We have stayed here a few times and have always enjoyed the uniqueness. This time we checked in and the first room assigned to us was occupied so that was a bit awkward, the next room we had the air conditioning didn’t work so finally the third room worked, but had dirty towels left in the bathtub

A real golden gem in the Nevada desert! Loved this boutique hotel. I was traveling with two teenagers. Our double queen room had two separate bedroom rooms which was perfect. The bathroom was large. We did the 9:00 pm ghost tour led by John. The history surrounding this hotel is haunting and interesting. Had dinner at Jack Dempsey’s it was affordable, delicious & convenient. Unfortunately the cafe for breakfast was closed for maintenance. They did put out some muffins and coffee to compensate for it being closed. I highly recommend and would stay here again.

Love the feel of this hotel with its antique and historical artifacts, the dark wood and brass trim. The clerk who checked us in was helpful though not the most friendly. Having read about the macabre history of the hotel, I immediately felt a sense of uneasiness as we rode up in the elevator to our room. The lighting throughout the hallways is a bit dim plus all the dark wood doesn’t help to brighten things. I was hoping for some sign of the lady in red but she never appeared. The room itself was a throwback to another era with the brass bed frame and chandelier. The bed itself was firm but comfortable. Even though the weather was on the cool side, the a/c noise wasn’t intrusive and was greatly appreciated. There was plenty of instant hot water and my wife always loves it when a Keurig coffee maker is provided. We enjoyed a nice dinner downstairs in the Dempsey restaurant and then enjoyed looking at all the Hollywood stars mementos on the walls. The next time we pass through Tonopah, I’m tempting fate and booking the lady in red’s room.

I have tryed to reach out to the hotel with no response as of a week ago. First of all, We arrived early but was told that to check in early would be a 10.00 fee. I didnt want to pay an extra fee so was told to come back at 2:30 which we did and still got charged the 10.00 fee. Also was given a room in the annex with no elevator access. I have COPD and this was not good after lugging suitcase up three flights of stairs ,I was about to die and couldn't breathe. Needless to say , the room didnt have an refrigerator in it. And was needed as we was goin to Death Valley the next day and needed our water cold. I went back down all those stairs and told them and what ee needed. They changed our room to one that had a refrigerator but had to lug all the luggage down 3 flights of stairs to lobby to turn around a ride the elevator back up to the second floor. We are a family of 5 and had a lot of luggage plus a 24 pack of water. I think I deserve half of my money back as it caused my breathing to be at risk. Being charged 10.00 and didnt even get in the second room till 3:30 pm Not a happy camper at all. Take care of your elderly people folks. Black
