Great stay. Rooftop area a bonus. Close to beach. Best side of town. Maria de Socorro in the breakfast room is great.

Don’t go to el cuyo Yucatán, there’s nothing to do there, the town is terrible, if you are not a hippie from the 70s you got nothing to do there, it’s over rated

El Cuyo is a place to enjoy nature, relax and disconnect. For the most active there is amazing tour options and Kitesurfing, of course! You don’t need to be a hippy, just somebody who enjoy this kind of wonderful destination.

Choose elsewhere and don’t waste your time or energy. WHAT A DISASTER OF A HOTEL AND EXPERIENCE. I happen to have managed hotels and been in the business for the past 10 years.. (and coming from a very experienced traveler as well) Where do I even begin? I guess the room first. 1.First check in was a joke. No info, just took us to the room, no Wi-Fi info, no check out info, and no room info. 2. The entire hotel and room especially smell like cement (gives you major headache in the room).. 3. The room has a large floor to ceiling window next to the bed that has no curtain. And directly facing the sunrise at 5:30 AM so good luck sleeping in or having any type of a resting vacation. 4. The entire hotel is like a box. The room has cute decor but you forget about it the minute that you have a claustrophobic bathroom, the size of a mini closet. 5. Wi-Fi is horrible and did not work in our room the entire stay. (doesnt work through all the concrete) 6. Only two pillows at this expensive boutique hotel 7. We had seen some photos on the booking site, but not how open the shower is (not good for friends, and many people are uncomfortable with this. 8. hammocks way to high off the ground to enjoy 9. do not give you real pool towels 10. no safe in the room 11. no cleaning service for 3 days (at a beach hotel which would clearly have sand tracked in ) Ran out of space to even finish the review. Continue to google.

We always appreciate reading the different opinions, even when they are as subjective as yours. We regret that the design of the hotel has not been to your liking. Hard to please everyone! Regarding the non-subjective points, clarify that the cleaning service in all the hotel rooms is daily. We advise that if it happens to you on another occasion, the first day notify the reception instead of waiting 3 days. We hope that despite all your discontent you could enjoy the wonders of our destination El Cuyo!! Greetings!

Nice new property (open less than 3 months). Front desk staff are extremely nice and helpful. Rooms are nice, but without much privacy since the shower is in same area as bed. Nice view from roof top pool and bar. “Continental “ breakfast was actually a full, hot breakfast which was very good, but service was very slow. It seemed to get better the last day and we were told a new restaurant manager had taken over starting that day. Drink prices at the pool bar were outrageous. We shared our thoughts with the desk staff who seemed very open to receiving them. There is no elevator, so plan accordingly. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay and will consider another stay there when we visit El Cuyo again.

A beautiful, quiet village. The hotel looks very nice however, the services do not match the look of the facility.

The hotel wasn’t ready!
There was no running water during our stay here - couldn’t even go to the toilet, wash our hands or have a shower. We were told about 4 times that the water will be back on in “30 minutes” but this wasn’t at all. It was disappointing to say the least and we were not even offered a full or partial refund for this…

El hotel esta muy bonito, hay que tomar en consideración que el restaurante y la alberca están en el cuarto piso y no hay elevador. La vista desde el roof es increíble. El hotel debería ser no niños pequeños, ya que el espacio del roof es pequeño y no hay espacio para que un niño chico corra, juegue y grite, eso fue un poco incomodo. El servicio del barman es un poco lento, como solo hay uno, el tiene que dar servicio a todo el hotel y de repente desaparece mucho rato. El desayuno magnifico, muy rico. La regadera de la recamara no tiene puerta si vas con alguien a quien no tienes mucha confianza es algo para tomar en cuenta. El diseño y decoración del hotel es muy bonito y moderno.

El personal del hotel atendió la limpieza del agua que provenía de la ducha, atascada por el exceso de arena. No fue necesario un cambio de habitación, todo quedó solucionado en ese momento. Esperamos que a pesar de esta situación de la ducha tuvieran una linda estancia en Dos MAres. Muchas gracias Arturo por su visita.

Pienso que el precio esta muy caro para lo que el hotel ofrece. La recepcion deja mucho que pensar bien informal, uno es que tiene que hacerle las preguntas de wifi e informacion. Lo que si estuvo muy bien fue el desayuno.

Sorprendente Hotel!!!
El Hotel Dos Mares fue una sorpresa muy agradable, no esperaba tal calidad en su servicio, la comida fue de primer nivel, en su restaurant en el roof del hotel con vistas Del Mar y la Laguna espectaculares. Las habitaciones cuentan con camas y almohadas súper cómodas, con ventilador y aire acondicionado y lo mejor de todo… su personal!!! Siempre atento y servicial haciendo de mi estancia una experiencia relajada y positiva. Definitivamente un lugar para regresar!!!!
