雖然是老飯店但是翻修過後住起來還是挺舒服的只是插座實在太少不得不拔電視跟暖氣的才有辦法充手機

Value for money but the facilities in the room is a bit old although it appears to be already renovated for such a heritage hotel. the door lock is a bit broken and the celing of the wardrope has a big hole. Other than that is fine.

I found our accommodation was located close to shops and food options. Our room was clean and adequate for our needs. We did not dine in house but found a very good restaurant a short walk away.

We thought their upgrades to the room had been carried out with taste. All staff in all areas where great and friendly. The bar manager was very professional and we thought went out of her way to help. Other items that might help improve. Handle in shower cubicle, would help a person with mobility problems. Repair wheel chair ramp.

A beautifully renovated old building, with the perfect mixture of timeless classic architecture and modern amenities. Loved the original elevator, was quite charming, and faster than some modern elevators we’ve used. The rooms were tastefully decorated with a modern bathroom. Being on the top floor was amazing, as we had views of the ocean and port, right from the bed. The quaint restaurant was warm and inviting with its exposed brick walls. Service was top notch.

Nowhere in shower to stand soap, shampoo etc.. The breakfast service was non existent. If the doors to the lift(old manual) didn’t get closed properly it didn’t work.

great position.no information in room for tv,-local attractions-nowhere to hang clothes in room or bathroom,and shower a bit awkward for older people but would be happy to stay there again as it represents great value

It’s a grand old hotel with lovely ceilings in the foyer in particular. The receptionists are very pleasant and welcoming. I was in a very nicely refurbished room on the second floor. Very comfortable and clean, and a really good shower with very good water pressure. I slept well, and enjoyed being close to cafes and the railway station. All in all a really nice place to stay. It will be my first choice next time I travel to Timaru.

The staff were so friendly and amazing! Our room was big and clean! Our bed so comfy after a long day of hiking! The restaurant provided us with delicious meals! We were all so pleased and so full!

Overall really good.

On arrival the reception area did not appeal too much. However the receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. Our room was on the second floor and we were so pleased with it. The whole floor has been recently refurbished and our room at the front was lovely.
