"Our room on the second floor was clean and had blinds to keep out the light at night. It was adequate but, no doubt to keep in style with being the oldest hotel in Great Britain, it wishes to retain an oldie worldie charm so the decor may appear outdated. Our bathroom could do with a revamp as the toilet seat was loose and one of the shower heads was leaking and wouldn't stay in position. Breakfast was the 'help yourself style' and there was sufficient choice. However, the breakfast room seemed to lack atmosphere. The staff were pleasant enough."
