Best thing is the view and even that's pushing it. If you want lakeview spend the extra money for a hotel that doesn't have carpet stains and a room that looks more dilapidated than charming while feeling like its being held together or fixed with glue and tape. The staff at the hotel were friendly, but the breakfast wasn’t the greatest. Best afvice is stick to a well known name that offers a continental breakfast if you aren't a fan of waiting long for breakfast or lack of variety.

We were approached by drug addicts in parking lot upon our arrival. The hotel was fine but it gave us a bad feeling from the start.

Would not stay here again. Staff was great however upon arrival a few drunk people in the parking lot yelling and throwing bottles and a separate group of people in the parking lot going in and out of the hotel shooting up some sort of drugs with needles. I know these situations are out of the hotels control and most likely due to the area the hotel is located. The Hotel itself is old and has character which is nice however it is very run down. We were on the 4th floor and our room had a bad smell to it. The bed sheets they used to cover the box spring was extremely dirty as if they had never been changed, almost looked like old vomit. The air conditioner filter has never been cleaned and has so much build up we just turned it off so not to breathe it in. Our room door looked as if it was kicked in at some point, it didn’t close properly there was a chain lock added where an old lock use to be. The hotel is very loud people talking at all hours in the hallways and slamming doors all night so no sleep was to be had. Our room faced the front of the hotel and the windows are very old and do not allow any sound barrier so all night cars revving their engines and motorcycles going back and forth. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was wonderful. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with every enquiry. Pets are welcome easily to all rooms except a few. The breakfast is included and cooked to order. The rooms are large and clean. Beds were comfortable. Windows open and we had a beautiful view of the lake. It is easy to walk to the marina and parking is free behind the hotel. I would recommend this hotel.

Clean, friendly, and a very lumpy bed… but for the price I would do it again . Also love some of the shops and restaurants nearby. And who can argue with a view of the bay!

The price was right and parking was great but the hotel is “tired”, it’s glory days are past and it’s not the greatest part of town, not really unsafe but also not very special.

The hotel was ok. We paid for a suite and had a bit of extra space which was nice. We felt nervous leaving our car outside as there were lots of people hanging around overtly taking drugs in the car park. The same people seemed to be staying in the hotel as they were wandering in and out of the property. That said, once we were in our room we didn’t have much of an issue. I wouldn’t feel comfortable taking children into the hotel though due to all of the drug taking etc everywhere.

This is an old hotel that could use a few updates. That being said, I loved my stay. Pool was great. Gym was dirty, but massive and functional. I loved my room, even though the carpet had cigarette burns, which just made me laugh. It's just how old the carpet is. It is a beautiful hotel, with some questionable people wandering outside. Security was great though. If you're not racist, enjoy an older hotel and the beauty that comes with it, this is for you. Free bacon and egg breakfast every morning in the restaurant was excellent. Staff was excellent, including the restaurant where my wonderful server has worked for 27 years.
