"Booked for three nights but had to leave the first day itself due to safety and cleanliness concerns. There were multiple snakes roaming around the tent area and a strong odor from what appeared to be a dead animal near the kitchen. The tent’s mosquito net had several holes, and there were already flying insects inside the tent upon arrival. The fan was not enough to cool down the tent. One of the amenities that influenced my decision to book was the sauna, but it was not functioning during my stay. This was not disclosed before arrival, which was disappointing given the cost of the reservation. As a result, I left the property and had to find alternative accommodations. The experience ultimately cost me $1,000, in addition to the alternative hotel charges, inconvenience, and stress of securing another place to stay on short notice. I have stayed at many similar properties and understand that outdoor accommodations come with some exposure to nature. My expectations were reasonable: a well-maintained and accurately represented property. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet those expectations and I did not find it to be worth the price. I found the interaction with the owner to be somewhat condescending. I also noticed that the owner responds to negative reviews with lengthy replies aimed at disputing guests’ experiences rather than addressing the concerns. Unfortunately, this did not leave me feeling that guest feedback was taken seriously."
