unique is in heart of the city. and disappointing is that unreasonable charge for breakfast and laundry. sometimes, if the guest number are less, they take the buffet charge but the service they provide as alakart. every time u have to ask for food as if u become tired off asking. weardrob having bad smell, the comode they provide it shakes. it's a bad experienced in this hotel.

Great Stay

Our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. Everyone at the hotel was very pleasant. I needed some medical help during my stay at Thimphu and the hotel staff was very helpful and gave my husband and I all the help we needed to ensure I was okay. Thank You so much for your hospitality

Nice hotel at the centre of the town

Hotel is located quite close to points of interest and even the office for obtaining permit for Punakha and other regions is located close. Rooms were spacious (we were 3 adults in one room) and clean, food was great ( we did not take the buffet option and directly ordered from restaurant). Only thing was that the hotel collect extra amount from us saying Expedia has not collected the amount for the extra bed. The invoice from Expedia though clearly mentioned 3 adults. The hotel did not give us any receipt for the extra amount collected from us. Don't know if there was any confusion between hotel and Expedia . However I would still rate the hotel excellent

The stay at Osel was just fantastic. The customer service was great, nice location, excellent restaurant, clean room with amazing view of city n mountains, facilities top notch and a comfortable bed. Everything one can expect on a hotel stay.

We were shifted to City hotel. So the rating is of City Hotel. Osel were very gracious to send a bottle of wine for the inconvenience.

Nice hotel near the city main street

Cordial staff, good welcome, swift check-in. Room size and amenities are pretty standard. Minor irritants, like non-working power points, jammed door locks, bathroom lock not working, creaky wooden floor - nothing that will make you regret, but will slightly inconvience you. Otherwise has evetything you expect - decent beds, fridge, tv, standard channels (incl. good variety of kids' channels), tea/coffee, toiletteries, wifi etc. Room service/ restaurant menu is very limited, and half of that menu is not available at any given time. But they have a buffet, which I haven't tried, so no comments. There are no decent eateries nearby, specially if you are limited by Indian food. Overall, I felt it was slightly over priced but looked among the best 3* Thimphu has to offer.
