Koropuku Falls is located in the western part of Catlins Conservation Park along the scenic Chaslands Highway. The track leading to the falls begins from the roadside and you wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it as its entrance is somewhat hidden among the trees. From the moment you step onto the track you're transported into another world. The track leads you through the lush green rainforest, following a tranquil stream and passing moss covered trees along the way until you reach an opening where this magical scene appears in front of you. Take me back! #hiking

Great base camp for exploring the Catlins
This was a great base camp for exploring the Catlins. Beds were clean and comfortable, although I felt I had to wipe down the kitchen before using it. The property was amazing! Beautiful views of the estuary, a peaceful place to walk in the mornings, and good view of stars at night.

You can reach Waipapa point by following the dirt road to the end. It's a beautiful place with a lighthouse. The Hooker sea lions are chilling on the beach. There is quite a big parking lot with toilets, but otherwise no facilities.

The petrified forest at Curio Bay. It's just a small town with one attraction. Here you can see the forest at low tide. In the evening you can spot some yellow eyed penguins. There is also a very nice beach.
