"Very central, helpful owner, parking is possible very nearby, but not plentiful in a town with a street plan from the17th century. A large paid parking lot is 250 metres away. A DIY breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, and toast with many toppings, is in the fridge. Pull the cord to activate the shower."

"Clean and tidy room and bathroom, daily housekeeping (personally not necessary). If the weather is hot, no fan, only windows. However it was a lovely to stay."

"Overall, we had a great stay. The hotel and its location were excellent, and the grounds were beautifully maintained and kept to a very high standard. The only disappointing aspect was the hotel restaurant. The food was average and didn't quite meet our expectations. If we were to return, we would probably choose to dine at restaurants nearby instead."

"Modern, clean and comfortable hotel located next to a convenient Marston's pub. Reception desk is inside the pub, a quick word with the bar staff and someone came to check me in so no issues as reported in other reviews. Air con in room was a major bonus as stayed on a very hot day. Meals in the pub (dinner and optional breakfast) were excellent."

"The Barnsdale hotel is in a lovely and convenient setting with ample parking. The Sydnet spa is great and the pool was wonderful for an afternoon cool down. Plus super cute Highland cows! Breakfast and dinner is wonderful in the beautiful courtyard. The Barnsdale is an old building which means the lack of air conditioning was a challenge during the heatwave. The power shower remains a mystery why anyone thought this was a good choice to install!"

"This is a dog friendly Hotel in the centre of Spalding town centre. Popular with locals as well as travellers. The staff are all friendly, helpful and accommodating. I ate at the Hotel a couple of times, both meals were excellent. My room was lovely, I knocked down one star as the picture on the 'live' tv flickered so much it was hard to watch. None of the other Apps available would download either. But as I didn't watch much tv it wasn't a problem for me. There is a car park close by, costing £3.10 for 24 hrs using the Ring Go App, which I found to be safe and secure for the 3 nights I stayed at the Hotel. There is another App which brings the cost down a bit. Just search Drapers Place car park for full details or ask the Reception staff. I will be staying here again."

"Room was spacious and clean. Furniture looking dated now, but nothing wrong with it. Slept well and had very nice meal in the restaurant. Lovely location on the lakeside with outdoor furniture to enjoy pre dinner drinks."
